Meet Cub, a happy 2-year-old mix whose life will only get better from now on. This 50-pounder, whose genes appear to include perhaps Lab and Collie, was unwanted and rescued from a neglectful situation.
Cub is an energetic young dog, and will require a home that can provide him with lots of exercise and mental stimulation. He’s good on leash, and behaves well when meeting new dogs on walks. Cub also enjoys playing in the backyard, and loves to go swimming. His foster dad is working with him to reinforce good doggie manners that should have been taught to him as a puppy. Cub is not aggressive but can be a little possessive of his food with other dogs. He is currently being fostered with another dog that he gets along very well with. Cub has also lived with cats and other dogs in the past. He is clean in the house and also crate trained. Cub’s foster describes him as easygoing, and says he loves to have his belly rubbed and to be around his people.
Cub has a strong but lovable character, so might not be suitable for a first-time dog owner or a home with young children. We hope to get more pictures of this beautiful dog soon but in the meantime, please feel free to complete an adoption questionnaire if he sounds like the companion you’ve been searching for.
Cub will be at our upcoming adoption day at Mon Ami this Saturday, August 12. Cub will be neutered prior to his adoption.
